Hi
Thinking of buying a Toppy
I listen to the radio a lot. Can you tell me if you can connect this box to a hifi and without a TV on change channels, start/stop recordings, playback FF and rewind a radio channel recording.
Cheers mcj

Yep, that should work fine. The Toppy has left, and right phono outputs, and a couple other favours of audio connections to boot. You don?t need the TV on ? just wake the Toppy up by pressing Standby, and then press TV/RADIO to jump to the last radio station you were tuned to. Channel + and ? work just fine. There?s one slight negative point ? that?s knowing what station you are tuned too. It is displayed on the front panel, but it?s the digital channel number, rather than the station ID (Radio 1 says r070)

The trick modes can be done without looking at the TV for prompt, but anything beyond hitting record, would probably take a while to get used to.
