I've no idea why it doesn't install via FTP.
Suggest you move the 5810 to where the other one was and update via USB.

Went for that option and did it blind (no monitor) Installed ok according to pc, took a few attempt s to turn off from the button on the toppy. Took it back to the front room, all reconnected and nothing... cant see its on 6.6... the logos haven't updated etc. Annoying Confused

Getting the same error message and results as kevsterci experienced, but on a TF5800 connected via FTP/Slug
i.e. connects OK, message
FindFirst error, SetCurrentDirectory returned 0 (C:\Data\Delphi\New Toppy_comms\ToppyFTP.pas, line 375)
is displayed.

Acknowledge the message box, then installer just hangs until I force a close using the X at top right.

Message "Are you sure you wish to abort the installation" is displayed at that point, reply "Yes" and installer closes. If "No" is selected, it just returns to "Sucessfully Connected" screen with status bar about halfway across. It will stay like that for half an hour or more, I gave up at that point. The C:\Data directory mentioned does not exist - maybe a permissions issue? I tried running setup as an administrator, but no difference.

I'll try installing via USB tomorrow and report back, it's getting late.

Doesn't help those who need the installer, but if just upgrading from 6.5 to 6.6 you can just install the tap file via ftp (and the Modifiers .dat file). I'd recommend exiting current running MyStuff from menu option, and doing backup with TopManager first. TM can also upgrade logos etc.

OK... connected up via USB, and the installer worked perfectly as it usually does. Toppy powered off automatically, reconnected it up to the TV, powered up and everything was fine, after waiting ten minutes for the EPG to update.

Once again, thanks to the MyStuff team for keeping up with the improvements.

(Forgot to mention in last post - in case it has any bearing on the FTP install problem - I'm running Win 7 64 bit.)

Had to do the same to mine: USB works FTP doesn't. I will add in either case I was updating the tap only with the installer.
Be nice to know why FTP didn't work, this much my prefered option for one of my Toppys.

Hello folks.
I think I might have encountered a bug. See what you make of this.

Recording from a timer, but also chase-watching the recording programme, it seems that the recording fails to stop at it's set time. It's happened to me twice since I installed 6.6. I usually have a second recording on another channel running at same time.

This aside, I applaud the good work on MyStuff by BobD & Co. Cheers.

Hi Geoff. I only meant that I had added the MyInfo-generated signature to my profile. I thought that might be enough info to be useful rather than swamp the page with the full log. But here it is:

System ID: 456
TV Output: Type = Auto, Video = RGB, RF Channel = 36
Reported firmware version: TF-NPT 5.13.65T dated Oct 10 2009
Base firmware version: 5.13.65

Running TAPS:
Slot 0: EPG2MEI v0.96 : Dumps the EPG data to disk as EPG.mei, with changes since last time in EPG_diff.mei
Slot 1: MyStuff 6.6 : UI Replacement
Slot 2: MyInfo B5.6 : Displays & records Toppy basic info
Slot 3: Font Manager 1.0d : Manage TAP Fonts
Slot 4: Extend v1.7 : Uses the Accurate Recording info to extend recordings (safely)
Slot 5: SecCache (UK) v0.4 : Optimal (UK) section caching to reduce the load on the Toppy
Slot 6: EIT Sub (Game) v0.6 : Provides faster, simpler and more robust EIT data collection, except when playing games
Slot 7: MHEG On/Off A3 : MHEG control
Slots 8 - 15 not used

You are running close to disaster with so little free disk space. Suggest you move a few .rec files off to some other storage such as your PC.

Oh I know. It's a constant battle. But in regard to the problem I posted, I don't think it's related because I was running just as close to the bone with MyStuff 6.5 without experiencing the same problem.

I'm with Bizman in saying that "you are running close to disaster with so little free disk space". Still, when the disk gets wiped because it is so full, you should have plenty of free space Laughing

Could be a blessing in disguise. This disk owns me. I need to look at upgrading to a bigger one, but then I'd just fill that too!

That said, I have hit the limit many, many times and the worst that ever happens is that I lose the end of the current recording (and anything timed to record thereafter until I resolve it).

I do this all the time, and haven't see it happen. Which channels were you using?
