Have been waiting for TM to complete this step for about 15 mins. Seems to have frozen. Shall I stop it and do it again?

Toppy restarted MyStuff without restarting. All my recordings and searches are there. Shall I move MyStuff back into Auto Start?

Am I correct in assuming that MyStuff started ok in response to step 8?

If so, it looks like you can move the MyStuff tap back into the Auto Start directory. If you moved it using the remote keys last time then you can reverse the operation. Alternatively, use TopManager:-
1) Connection| Browse
2) Position to MyStuff.exe in right pane (i'm assuming it is in \ProgramFiles)
3) Hold down the mouse over MyStuff.exe and drag it over the "Auto Start" directory in the left pane.
4) Release the mouse to drop the .exe
5) Reboot.

You should probably also do the following:-
6) PcControl| Show PcC Menus
7) PcControl| Channel Management
8 ) Click the "Check/Update Files" button.
This will ensure that your EPG2MEI and Extend files are consistent with your channel lineup.

Other things you can do are:-
9) "Tools| Check MyStuff"
10) "Display| MyInfo Log" followed by "Tools| Update Forum Profile" (select the Build button)

Indeed. That's why I posted the link to the thread discussing the actual Toppy problem earlier, specifically so that it could be kept in that thread (where I had already posted that the next thing to check would be MyStuff.dat).

If there are issues with how to use TopManager itself, this is the thread for those.

In my post above, you may find that the PcControl menu is greyed out.
If this is the case, use the Tools| Install Files| PcControl option, reboot the toppy and use the PcControl| Show PcC menus option

No it wasnt greyed out. I think everything is ok. Recordings have recorded whilst I was away. I did think the problem still occured when the toppy rebooted itself whilst I was watching something again today but after files were veryfied MyStuff loaded correctly, although slower than normal. Fingers crossed all ok now. Thank you for helping.
