My Toppy crashed last week losing the vast majority of my recordings. I have no idea what happened, but, it seemed to re-format the disc, but, for some reason a few recordings were unaffected.

Does anyone have recordings of the following programmes that they could let me have copies of:-

Merlin episodes 5 - 13 (29/10/11 - 24/12/11)
Doctor Who Christmas episode
Earthflight episode 1 (29/12/11)

Any help with these will be greatly appreciated.

I can do Earthflight episode 1 (although recording finishes part way through the end credits) and any of the Merlin episodes

I am very sorry, but, the messages have not been getting through to my e-mail in-box.

Martyn: can I arrange with you for the Earthflight and Merlin episodes please.

Birdman: can I have the Doctor Who please?

I will PM you both

As an aside, can I just mention that if your forum joining date is indicative of the age of your Toppy, then perhaps the problem arose because the PSU capacitors need replacing if they are still the originals.

Bizman,

It has had a new motherboard since that date.

The problem seemed to occur when I tried to stop a reciording. The Toppy crashed and that was it!

Maybe so, but has the power supply been attended to? If not this could be the start of a number of apparently random and unrelated failures.
