Following a rescan I'm trying to find out LCN's to create new *.mcl lists.
But I can't seem to find an easy way to identify the LCNs. |

If you bring up the Guide and use the Opt key to select All Channels (or All TV or All Radio), each channel will show its LCN in the information area at the top of the screen.
Alternatively, you can choose a format for the EPG that shows the LCN on the left hand side of the screen, e.g. A2: Channel display style=LCN/Name.
Or, of course, you could just create some empty files, and then use the Channel Organiser TAP to populate them by channel name instead of number (once you've used it to delete all the dross channels, of course - especially as you've just rescanned) .

As you have a 5810, it's important to trim your channels down to no more than about 40 in total though, and Channel Organiser is the easiest way to do that too, and will update MyStuff and various other config files as it does it ... so you may as well use it to update your favourites files too.
If you leave all the channels in place, you run a high risk of memory corruption, with unpredictable (and potentially data-destroying) results. If you updated to MyStuff 6.4 recently, the installer will have put it in /ProgramFiles/Utitilites for you.

Luckily I already had a list of channels to delete in Channel Organiser.
BTW did I understand earlier on that I could use Channel Organiser to populate various *.mcl files, if that is the case any chance you could post a link for more info?
Thanks again for your help |

You can also change favourites files using TopManager (link in my signature) but you need a windows pc and you need to know the numbers you want.
1) install TopManager
2) "Connections| Settings" - set up a connection (usually USB)
3) "Connection| Open"
4) "Connection| Browse"
5) "Tools| Check MyStuff" ; note down any bad channels identified in the favourites files (minimises editing operations)
6) Double click "Settings", follwed by "MyStuff" and "FavLists"
7) Select the required favourite file and choose Edit from main menu (or right click and select from popup). Add any new LCNs in order that you want them to display in MyStuff; delete any bad channels identified by step 5
TopManager can do lots of other things; give it a go

No problem; although it would have been nice for me if you had checked the "TM Flag" when setting your signature (it shows me that you can use TopManager and makes it easier for me to offer advice). Not everyone includes it so it is no biggy.
