I use text search to set up "watches" for films I want to see that aren't in the schedule.
Admittedly, keying in the film title is a pain...

Even if using the numerical keypad as you would do on a mobile phone (though admittedly without legend )? |

Does the MyStuff toppy replacement work with a 2400 Masterpiece PVR? |

I notice quite a lot of you use both MyStuff and Quickjump together.
What setting do you use for both taps so they don't conflict with each other?
I have quickjump load before MS. |

With QJ before MS, the taps shouldn't conflict as QJ will gobble up the key strokes before MS sees them.
I use
> Red -10 secs, Green -15 secs, Yellow Ignore, Blue +15 secs
> Left -4:05, Right +4:15, Up -1:00, Down +1.00
> All the above "when progress bar displayed" set to No
> Right and Down "when Live TV" set to No
Other buttons are set to ignore
Note: my choice is to have buttons on the left go back (MS goes forwards)
It shouldn't matter what the MS settings for the colour buttons ares
I don't use binary jumps - I find the Right button is fine to skip ITV adverts.

My Stuff is telling me it is now out of date and no longer supported. I have version 6.4 - is there an update I need to install?

Is it possible to add a drop down selection to each search ( maybe as simple as 1,2,3,4,5,6)?
Then you can group the searches by the selections ( so all the 1s searches are together and all the 2s are together)
That way I could separate my searches (for example) into..
1 my searches
2 wife searches
3 mixed searches
4 search by word only
5 all other, less used searches
I currently have over 70 searches ( I know others have 100+) and it would tidy up the searches nicely. |

There would need to be a new way of accessing the new data too - a new sort order or a filter.
If I'm understanding you correctly, you're asking for a search "tag" or identifier, which does nothing except label/categorise the search for humans?
You could then sort or filter by tag (and if filtering, there's no reason why a search couldn't have multiple tags, e.g. Sport, Julie Only), although if you were sorting, you'd have to pick just one of them to sort by - presumably the first one).
I quite like the idea, although it would require a change to and conversion of existing data files, and quite a lot of work - but I'd use it.
Taking that to its logical conclusion, you could propagate the tags through to the timers and recordings created by that search (MS already keeps track of which timers were set by which search, and I think it knows that info for recordings too, but would need to duplicate the tag to save it even if the search is later deleted), and rather than sort by tag, filter by tag (using the Opt key to bring up a dialogue box to pick a tag?) in all the archive views (searches, timers, recordings). |

| We do that already, but being able to tag the originating searches is a different thing. |

This use and the previous one would be useful too.
I just needed to split up the 70+ searches into a more useful listing. I have 30+ searches which rarely finds anything and they could go at the bottom.
If I remember rightly, an old version of MS had a way to turn off searches and they were listed at the bottom of the list. |

Hi Mystuff Team
I believe you have programmed in a message that now has been date triggered. This message states that the TAP is out of date.
Are there any future versions that will ever come out?
I am a big fan and have used it for some time so if this is just ignore and keep useing so be it , but I would be greatful if you could acknowledge its existence and place appropriate messages on the TAP page and the forum for others to see.
Thank you for such an important TAP without it the Toppy would be very limited.
Michael
PS I am using 6.4 not updated profile |
