Had a slightly interesting problem today.

The toppy was recording and I added some timers.
The front panel display was blank.

I disabled and enabled the display TAP through tap commander which had no effect.
I then pressed the standby button and the YES/NO box appeared.
I then pressed EXIT and the box crashed (dam it)

On reboot I noticed the front panel stuck displaying the time. (oh that old problem!).
So after it had finished booting and fixing of recordings I cycled the mains power.

I restarted the recordings (I wish there was a TAP that did that for you Crying or Very sad )

I then noticed that one of the recordings was one of those short recordings which play back in a few seconds.
A bit odd as I thought I had rewound that recording while it was still recording and saw some of it. Humm, maybe not.

Odd that two things appeared to go wrong at once.

I think TF5000Display accesses the Front Panel more directly than the normal BIOS calls, which would explain why I hardly see any messages when I monitor that buffer.

This will be due to the difference between the copy of the FAT in memory and that on disk.

Latest update 1.53 to the Display TAP seems to be even more slim than before in its processing load.

@AndyK Is there a particular reason why you haven't upgraded to 5.13.65?

I have a very similar problem in TF-NPT 5.13.65. When I press standby the toppy front panel display flashes dots then turns off.

On restarting the time is displayed and nothing else. In addition, it now frequently fails to record timers!

I have 4 TAPS loaded :-

DescriptionExtender 2.1
EPGnavigator v5.1
QuickJump 1.61
Bookmark 2uk 2.3a

Any help appreciated.

Thank you. I've just tried it and it has done the trick.
