Since the last round of LCN juggling and rescan I'm having a problem tuning in Film4+1 on my 5800.
Tried both Channel Organiser and Topmanager but neither of them can see LCN45.
The thing is that I have LCN45 tuned in on my Samsung TV and it's fine. Anyone got any idea's ?

I believe Film4+1 has moved to a MUX that can only be picked up by HD-capable equipment, even though it is not HD itself.

Thanks, just followed up on that and it looks like your correct, My local transmitter (Craigkelly) http://www.terrestrialtv.co.uk/dtt.cgi?reg=UK.S.SCO.CRA&by=mux&mux=B&hist=&data=&col=LNTMHC&disp=1&grp=&oair=&agrp=
has it on PSB3 which I assume the Toppy can't receive but my HD TV can Sad makes you wonder how many other channels are going to end up going the same way.

I don't know what happens for a rescan, I avoid doing them until necessary Smile

But I have LCN45 with a placeholder :-

"Due to changes to the way Film4+1 is broadcast, viewers using a Freeview SD box are no longer able to receive Film4+1.

If you can get HD channels on your receiver already, (such as Channel 4 HAD at 104) you will still be able to get Film4+1. It will be in standard definition on channel 45 in the Freeview EPG, following a retune.

For retuning instructions please go to digital.co.uk/retune. If you cannot get the HD channels, Film4+1 will not be available."

Which explains what has happened, but does not explain what genius thought this up!

When you next get around to doing a rescan it will no longer be there.

LCN790 no longer carries the Film4+1 retune message and has been removed.
