Just wrote: Apologies if this has been requested or can't be done for a firmware reason, but I have RTFM and couldn't find it in there.
It would be great if when watching an archive recording, pressing stop or at the end of the recording, MS went back to the archive page so I can quickly delete that recording and move on to another. This is how $ky+ works and is one useful feature that MS seems to be missing.
While the recording is still playing press archive then white select yes. Program deleted then you are still in the archive

Not sure which forum to log this in but the downloads page for MyStuff 5.21a does not display correctly in a Firefox browser.
If I open it in IE, everything looks and works properly.
Not a biggie!! |

I guess I just can't imagine a reason to press stop and not go to the archive page, if I press archive while playing it continues in the background and I have to press stop or white. If the playback stopped when you press archive that would be fine.
Perhaps it's just something I need to get used to having had Sky+. |

Hi,
I have created a table of the things I would think of doing while playing back a recording.
http://en.wikibooks.org/wiki/User:Mike.hinson/KeyBehaviour
(only temporary while this discussion is hot)
It looks very straight forward and logical to me at the moment so I struggle to appreciate the benefit of changing it. (perhaps it all has to do with assisting folk migrating from Sky?)
Please edit the table to add suggestions or comment on what is not logical or intuitive.
Surely the less options we have the more common our experience & the easier it is to answer people who have problems. (not to mention the simplification of development & testing).
Some options are essential to avoid key clashes with other TAPs etc,
Some options are part of the user experience like sort orders & colours.
Some options are there to support the old way of doing it when a better way has been adopted
I would vote against any additional key use options. If key changes were generally agreed to improve the usability of the user interface I would prefer a change of key function rather than an option.
If the table of key behaviour is any use perhaps the concept could be developed as an addition to the manual?

mike.hinson wrote: Hello,
This is a feature request that has been added to the Wiki, does anyone lay claim to it?
Quote: Menu item M8, Suppress Toppy playback and recording roundels. could this be extended to suppress all Toppy roundels all the time not just when your quitting a MyStuff screen.
I think it mostly best if feature requests are posted in this thread first please, then they get summarised and listed in the Wiki for reference with MS Team comments (mostly from the forum).
Thanks,
/\/\ opps! sorry that was me getting carried away.
And while I'm here here's a feature I'd like to see. Would it be possible for recordings to be identified in the archive by their file names as well as their mei program names. Then an edited file name would show up even if the MyStuff mei archive did not display program info. Why?, because at the moment, a folder called Due South is full of programs called Due South rather than the episode names I have given them in the toppy's native archive. Or can I edit the files in the MEI's Folder in the MyStuff Settings Folder. |

You can edit the MEI files to match your edits of the program names. |

To get it working in FF and IE together I think you need to use "-moz-inline-stack" and then wrap the whole lot in another (fake) element (such as <RM>) and then make the "display: block" for that in the CSS (e.g. span.download rm { display: block }). There may be other ways... |

Using Onelist and MyStuff is a fantastic improvement, but when browsing radio stations audio doesn't start until the MHEG kicks in which requires the now and next display to be dismissed...
Is there any way MyStuff can make the toppy activate MHEG on non-video channels either while or before displaying Now and Next? Now and Next can obviously be displayed fine once the audio has started.
Cheers! |

It's still not working correctly in FF. Works fine in Opera. It works in Konqueror too. The problem is related to the stylesheet, since if you turn it off in Firefox the page works.
The symptoms are that the download parts, instead of being split over 3 or 4 lines (by the <br>s) end up on 1 line (and overwriting itself too) and the links are inactive.
It was all OK for 5.2 |
