I hope someone maybe able to help with this problem.
My Toppy has just started turning itself off and then back on again but only when I'm on BBC1.

Any ideas?

Many thanks

What firmware do you have installed.
There was a problem with MHEG and one of the firmware's which caused reboots.

Not sure then, as the MHEG bug is fixed in this release.
Might be worth rescanning for channels and see if that cures the problem.

I'm having the same problem. Toppy keeps restarting every few minutes on BBC1 & BBC2. I have tried some other channels and they seem ok.

Its stopped doing for the minute.

I will try unplugging it for 10 secs if it reoccurs.

Many thanks for your prompt help

I wonder then if it could maybe be a BBC thing - ie if the signal is being lost would that cause it to reset?

Hi
Also having recurrent reboot problem.
I have done factory reset, new search and reinstalled latest firmware, but the problem persists on BBC1, BBC2 and BBC News 24.

It does remind me of the MHEG problem.

Same here either re-booting or locking up altogether if left on channel.

Edit: sometimes happens within 60 secs, sometimes minutes can go by before happening.

Same problem here with BBC1 & 2. On Bastille f/w, JAG's EPG and Improbox. Cold reset makes no difference.

Just checked: Toppy had been left on LCN300 (I like a blank, quiet, channel to switch on to). Changing to BBC1 at first seemed OK, changing to BBC2 got a reboot within a minute or so, repowering to BBC2 gave another reboot after another minute or so, then changing to BBC1 gave a total freeze after a minute, needing a power cycle.

Toppy is on Bastille. Old Goodmans GDB3 box seems unaffected.

It's starting to look like the previous MHEG issue again.

Is this affecting anyone with non-Bastille firmware?
