***IMPORTANT*** Transmitter changes (ChannelOrganiser and TopManager)

There have been several transmitter changes recently (and more to come).

A few of you have also experienced issues that may or may not be due to these changes (disk corruptions may be due to watching/recording a non-existent channel)

I have uploaded new versions of and FvTxData.tsv and Freeview.dat to the TopManager website.

FvTxData.tsv contains the muxes used by each transmitter
You need this new version of FvTxData.tsv if you normally use ChannelOrganiser to perform scans (CO only allows transmitters listed in this file)

TopManager uses the same FvTvData file but it automatically collects it directly from the TopManager site (it doesn't use the version stored on the toppy)

Failure to use the new version of FvTxData.tsv can lead to problems when scanning doesn't detect any channels on a mux.

Freeview.dat contains details about each viewing channel.

TopManager should automatically pick up the new "Tools| Install Files" script ( do a "Help| Check For Updates" if the EMJB and GCB options are not shown - this will update the script and say "No (Program) Updates"

Note: The next time TM runs after installing FreeView.dat, you may be notified that the FreeView.dat file differs from that on EMJB's site. To prevent this message being displayed each time, just check the box saying you '"I' m not interested in this version of the web file"

I have asked EMJB to host these updated files but we are reliant on his good will as he no longer uses a toppy.

Thanks Geoff. Very timely as I've spent time today getting ITV3 to work again. Despite having done so successfully (eventually!) I just installed your new FvTxData.tsv and freeview.dat files and then used channel organiser to run a scan on Crystal Palace in case there were any wrinkles I'd missed. CO told me that there was an error in the freeview.dat file (which I hadn't been getting before), saying that LCN33 should have a SvcId of 8361 not 8368. I made the edit and reran CO and it now says "no errors" in freeview.dat.

Not sure of the significance of this - I assume the 8368 Id doesn't throw an error for your transmitter?

EMJB has confirmed that he has uploaded the files to the folder associated with his ChannelOrganiser tap (Many thanks) i.e. you can get them from where you used to get them.

@jimi:
Don't know offhand how individuals will be affected but the FvTxData file contains records that should cope with proposed changes until Dec 2019 (future changes have a date associated with them; changes in the near future will have an exact date whereas later ones will indicate a a range when the work is scheduled e.g. Jan-Apr19) i.e. look in the file and/or run Co/TM( but don't perform the scan if you don't need to).

FreeView didn't show any errors running on the Mendip transmitter.
Some channels have different SVCids on different transmitters and in this case 33 corresponds to ITV+1. I see this has several regional variants (RRCs). Ether edit the file like you have or change the item to set the SVCid to -1 for ""don't care" (you would probably need to remove the RRC entries if you do this).

The main thing is that you load the new files now so that you don't hit issues when you do need to do a rescan.

I've changed LCN=33 to use SvcId = 8361

This only applies if you download the GCB version.

I've just added a new "ChannelOrganiser Data Files" page to my TopManager site.

This will allow those who don't use TopManager to manually download updated versions of Freeview.dat and FvTxData.tsv
