Is there any reason a scan on the our (oldish) freeview TV would find the Tiny Pop channel, but our Topfield won't?

I'm using the built in Topfield scanner, doing a factory reset, then manually scanning the channels, but Tiny Pop isn't found.

The area is Winter Hill if it makes a difference.

Is there anything else I can do?

C57 is a very low power mux, the tv probably has more sensitive tuners than the toppy.

Cheers, so is there anything more I can do, other than try scanning again in the middle of (a clear night). I'm thinking in the same way I could fine tune my old analogue TV to pick up S4C.

Also where did you get the info it was on C57?

It's not advisable to tune into channels with poor reception, there is a good chance the hd will get wiped.

Bad eit/epg data gets misinterpreted by the firmware, possibly causing tables to get corrupted, and if they happen to be hd specific, and are used to write to the disc, anything can happen.

The only way to avoid it is to reduce the number of tv and radio channels to around 45, and never to use channels with poor reception - often the local channels.

Your signature is obviously way out of date, but if you're still using MyStuff6.6, you also need all the associated taps and firmware to make the box reliable.

See https://www.tinypop.com/special/tiny-pop-tv

You shouldn't be using native scanning to retune the toppy as this will lead to problems (although it is ok as a temporary measure to check whether you can get 207).

Suggest you always use the ChannelOrganiser tap (check it is B2.1 and not B1.something) and/or TopManager/PcControl.

Note: I have just updated the data files for CO and TM so you will need to check that yours have been updated.

Also, make sure that you have my PruneEPG tap installed (to cope with the number of channels broadcasting EPG data). Probably best if you use TopManager to post your MyInfo log to see if anything else needs updating/ or is missing.
