Out of memory errors (and all sorts of unpredictable crashes because of them) can often be caused by not pruning your channels to a level that the Toppy and MyStuff can cope with. The Toppy is notoriously bad at handling memory overflows.

NB: Memory is NOT your hard drive, so that's unlikely to be the issue.

See Toppy Memory for more details.

Sounds like channels.

Can you please post your MyInfo Log (ideally before making any changes!)

You've still got a lot of channels: 58 tv +23 radio.

I'd switch off Interactive and also timeshift if you don't use it.

Retuning is very much NOT a minor thing to do on a Toppy.

HOW did you retune? Using the native menu? (A bad idea). Or using EMJB's Channel Organiser TAP? Or the out of date FastScanGUI TAP?

Your MyInfo log looks ok (although I haven't checked that your LCNs correspond to useful channels).

I suspect that your problem is because you have "Interactive Services" enabled (as shown by the "IA on" near the bottom of the log). This might be because it has always been enabled or possible because you performed a native retune (which restores it an enabled state).

IA caused me a lot of problems earlier this year; it is buggy and can cause all sorts of issues. The recommendation is that you disable it and use the MhegOnOff tap to automatically turn it on when you try to use it (the tap is normally stored in \ProgramFiles\Utilities)

To install the tap, copy it to "\ProgramFiles\Auto Start\" and rename it to MhegOnOffNrb1.tap (note the character case). Then reboot toppy.

Your problem is almost 100% down to IA - you don't have to change Time Shifting (TS)

To install the tap, run TopManager and
1) Connection | Browse
2) Click on Utilities (left pane)
3) Position/Hover mouse on Mhegonoff.tap in right pane
4) Press Left mouse button down and, while keeping it down, drag the mouse pointer over "Auto Start" in the left pane. Release the mouse button to drop the file.
5) Click the "Auto Start" folder in left pane
6) Select the MhegOnoff tap file
7) Press F2 and rename it to MhegOnOffNrb1.tap (note the character case).
8 ) reboot toppy.

Note: if you want to, you can also turn off "Interactive Services" in the toppy native Menu | System Settings (at bottom of screen). This will disable it immediately before the tap runs (as opposed to waiting for the tap to disable it)

Sounds like you were an early adopter of MyStuff 6.6 (the current installer puts the tap in the Utilities subfolder).

Use Top Manager
1) Tools| Install Files| MhegOnOff (this puts it into Auto Start)
2) Connection | Browse
3) Click the "Auto Start" folder in left pane
4) Select the MhegOnoff tap file in the right pane
5) Press F2 and rename it to MhegOnOffNrb1.tap (note the character case).
6) reboot toppy.

I wouldn't have expected it to do a "Verifying Files and Folders" (assuming that is what you mean by "that file thing") as you had already disabled IA.

Just in case: Have all the capacitors in the Power Supply Unit (PSU} been replaced ? - if not then contact andyfras.

All 18 caps on a 5800 are now recommended to be replaced.
