This feature doesn't work on my Toppy.
Is there anything in my signature that could explain this?
I don't have the Xp patch! |

| It's possible that Topfield included the fix equivalent to Xp in the 5.15.09 firmware, I suppose. |

I can't get copy to work either (first time I've ever tried), using the native interface.
According to the manual, it should work when you press record while playing a recording.
I was never sure if [Xp] actually applied to the 5810.
[Xw] is a similar patch to [Xp] and is in the 5810 recommended firmware(s), but I can only see [Xp] needing to be (temporarily) removed to allow copying.
Searching the forum hasn't come up with any answers (or even questions for that matter). |

I tried searching the forums before posting but came up blank.
I reverted to the original firmware and it still doesn't work despite what the manual says!
I do (did!) actually use the copy function quite often. |

The short version is that it doesn't work on the TF5810 (despite what the manual says).
The long version is that one of the beta firmwares 'managed' to get rid of those annoying unnecessary CYR messages (or "ARIS", in TF5810 terms). Quite a breakthrough for Topfield, given that we'd solved the issues ages before and pretty much handed them solutions on a plate. But somehow they managed to mess it up or got scared about the changes affecting other things so in the next beta they reintroduced their "tried and tested" code and the unnecessary CYRs. And to put the cherry on the top they left in the inability to copy recordings. |
