When doing the latest picks I noticed a sizeable gap in the Sunday afternoon schedule for BBC2. This classic was among the missing programmes:

I was just getting a little excited, but then realized that this was not the original radio or TV series of H2G2, but the rather less impressive 2005 film.

Actually, the excitement was not so much that the shows could be seen again, as I own all of them anyway. I was just hoping that the BBC was re-visiting a successful attempt to present the works of Douglas Adams. Which is a roundabout way of expressing disappointment with Dirk Gently.
