BobD is working on a solution for 6.4. Today.
Keep those CSI episodes handy for testing! |

Great TAP. Only recently discovered this but now that BBC Radio shares a multiplex with BBC1 & 2 have successfully used it to set up a couple of hybrid channels.
LCN Name Vid Aud PCR PMT Service ID
441 Radio 4 BBC1 101 1302 1302 100 255
442 Radio 4 BBC2 201 1302 1302 200 255
This was via Mode 3: option to copy/modify an existing channel.
However, my efforts to set up a NewChList.txt file for the sake of easy replication after a re-scan etc. have foundered.
It appears to work but the TAP crashes as soon as it reaches the "Now changing the Provider name" stage. On rebooting, the TAP has clearly created additional copies of BBC ONE but they have not been modified or renamed.
I'm wondering if there's something amiss with my NewChList.txt file?
Code:
# This file defines details of channels to be created by the ChannelMaker TAP
# Anything after a hash symbol is ignored
# Format is LCN {Tab} Name {Tab} Video PID {Tab} Audio PID {Tab} PCR PID {Tab} PMT PID {Tab} Service ID
# All above to be on one line
# Spaces at end of name are ignored
# Example below generates blank channels for old Channel 1 and each of the HD channels
# Latter can be used to display HD EPG data collected by rt2mei.
#LCN Name Vid Aud PCR PMT Service ID

@humphrey1
I'm struggling to understand what you are attempting to do.
What is wrong with just selecting channel 704 for Radio 4?

Nothing wrong with it at all - but then you get a blank screen or the relevant MHEG. If you create a 'hybrid' channel you can keep an eye on whatever's on, say, BBC1 at the same time without requiring PiP.
TopSet can be used to achieve the same result but Channel Editor bypasses the need to connect up the laptop. |

Are you sure you have precisely one tab between fields - unfortunately tabs seem to get get changed to spaces when pasting from the forum into Wordpad etc? Spaces before or after tabs are ignored, so you can use thenm to align columns.
