I wish to convert some home video from mpg to rec so we can watch on our toppy, I am currently trialling AVS Video Editor for basic editing, titling and fade in/out and then converting to rec with VideoReDo.
Is this the best way or is their any software that can edit and save to rec? |

Try MPEG Streamclip and/or ProjectX
Both free, former is simple, latter is terrifyingly complicated
Both can edit and save as .rec, but IIRC there are some limitations
with the former on a Mac you need to buy some MPEG libraries, not sure of the situation on a PC. |
