Hi there,
I tried to reset factory settings on my TF5000PVRt because all my channels were coming up as 'scrambled'. My toppy has been stuck with a black tv screen and the panel on the actual box reads 'menu'. It doesn't have the 'humming' noise like it usually does and disconnecting and reconnecting from power hasn't done anything.
Every now and then when I hold down a random button on the remote, a flash of the menu pops up in strange flouro green/pink. It also is able to be turned on and off alright (still shows the time when turned off for instance)
I really don't know what to do
Please help!! |

| First guess would be that the reset is the cause of the problem, which may not be a problem. A reset changes all the video outputs back to default, so if you were using Component (or RGB? not sure), you will see no picture. To get around this, temporarily add a single cable from the Composite (yellow coloured socket) to a matching socket on the TV. I suspect this will give you a picture. You can then go into the menu to change back to whatever you want. You then need to scan for channels. |

Also I assume your Toppy is a few years old now so it may have the faulty CAP issue in the Power Supply.
See if you can get a picture up by following the previous post.
If you still have issues take a read of the Power Supply issue here http://forum.toppy.org.uk/forum/viewtopic.php?t=16065
